Welcome to SocialHook, a social media platform developed and operated by SocialHook Technologies Private Limited, incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office at Nagpur, Maharashtra, India ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal information when you use the SocialHook Android application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using our App, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately.

3. Minimum Age Requirement

Our App is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 16. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians may contact us at socialhook4@gmail.com.

  • UPI ID or bank account details (for withdrawals)

  • Unity Ads, AppLovin MAX, Meta Audience Network: Fallback ad networks

7.2 Legal Requirements We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, or government request, including disclosures required by the Income Tax Department of India for TDS compliance.

7.3 Business Transfers In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may transfer to the successor entity. We will notify you of any such change.

7.4 With Your Consent We may share information for any other purpose with your explicit prior consent.

8. Advertising and Third-Party Ad Networks

SocialHook uses Google AdMob as its primary ad network, with Unity Ads, AppLovin MAX, and Meta Audience Network as fallback partners. These networks may collect device and usage data to serve personalised ads under their own privacy policies. You may opt out of personalised advertising via Android Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalisation.

9. Payments, Earnings, and Financial Data

  • UPI ID and bank details are stored securely and used solely for payment disbursement
  • KYC documents are used solely for identity verification as mandated by RBI
  • TDS at 10% is deducted per the Income Tax Act, 1961, and remitted to the Government of India
  • Platform withdrawal fee of 15–40% applies as disclosed in the App wallet section
  • Payment gateway charges of 0.25–1.5% may apply
  • Financial transaction records are retained for a minimum of 8 years as required by Indian law

10. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained for account duration and up to 3 years after deletion
  • Financial and transaction records: Minimum 8 years as required by law
  • User-generated content: May be retained after account deletion for platform integrity
  • Log and analytics data: Up to 24 months

11. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • TLS/SSL encryption for data in transit
  • Secure storage of sensitive financial information

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute data security.

  • Android Advertising ID for ad personalisation
  • Firebase Analytics SDKs for app usage tracking
  • Crash reporting tools for app stability

You may reset or opt out of advertising tracking through Android device settings.

15. Children's Privacy

SocialHook is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe your child has used our App without consent, contact us at socialhook4@gmail.com immediately.

16. Third-Party Links and Services

Our App may contain links to third-party platforms. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those platforms. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
